We are an official study group of the Association for Renaissance Martial Arts in Orange County, California. The ARMA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the study and practice of the martial arts of medieval and renaissance Europe. We study these arts from original source literature using replica weapons (padded swords, wooden wasters, steel blunts, and sharps for test cutting). These arts are studied as serious martial arts, rather than for performance, roleplaying, or as a sport. The martial arts of medieval and renaissance Europe are highly sophisticated and brutally effective, as much as more commonly seen Asian arts. We seek to study, understand, and practice them in a manner that is historically accurate and martially sound.
Practice meetings are on Fridays at 10:00am at the Tustin Sports Park at Jamboree and Robinson, near the tennis courts. We currently use Meetup.com to RSVP for practices. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
